WASHINGTON, DC –The Wright
Group (TWG) was sole sourced and contracted by
the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
Office on Women’s Health (OWH) to provide strategic
planning, content development and technical writing
support for the grant review process of five HIV/AIDS
programs to include: 1) HIV Prevention for Women
Living in the Rural South, 2) Prevention and Support
for Incarcerated/ Newly Released Women, 3) HIV
Prevention for Young Women Attending Minority Institutions
(e.g. Historically Black Colleges and Universities,
Hispanic Serving Institutions, and Tribal Colleges
and Universities), 4) HIV Prevention for Women
Living in the US Virgin Islands and 5) Prevention
and Support for HIV Positive Women Living in Puerto
Rico,
The Office on Women's Health (OWH) was established
in 1991 within the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services. Under the direction of the Deputy
Assistant Secretary for Women’s Health, OWH provides
leadership to promote health equity for women and
girls through gender-specific approaches.
OWH coordinates the efforts of all the HHS agencies
and offices involved in women's health. OWH works
to improve the health and well-being of women in
the United States through its innovative programs,
by educating health professionals, and motivating
behavior change in consumers through the dissemination
of health information.
Established in 2004, TWG (www.twgstratiges.com)
is a health and human services research and consulting
